Hi All,
While Jim Stanton was running a WWI trench game at the Hackley summer camp earlier today, here are some photos from last night’s Battle of Hastings game in Ridgefield.
This was a great scenario and everyone loved it. The game was VERY close and came down to a final morale die roll at the end. At one point, the 2 army commanders, William and Harold, were within 2 squares of each other.
In the end, Gabriel and Morris barely won the game as the Normans. So pretty much a historical result.
One other note that was really great in the bigger picture….
I have noticed that one of our wonderful regular attendees, Rory, is really starting to talk more and engage with the other kids at each session he attends. Last night, he was laughing and really interacting with everyone. You can see him laughing in one of the photos below. I spoke with his mom last night, and it looks like while they will be away in July, they should be attending Fall In!. Gabriel also plans on attending Fall-in.
Next Gen has one more event next week at the Simsbury Library. Then it’s off to Historicon! Can’t wait to see everyone!
