First event in Trumbull, CT

Hi all,
Here are some photos from our medieval castle siege game in Trumbull, CT today.  Trumbull is a new client, and this was our first event there.
We were part of their summer kickoff event which also had some medieval fencing people demonstrate arms and armor of the period.  I attached some photos of that below as well.
The kids loved both events. This was a VERY young crowd of mostly 4th to 6th graders with one or two middle school kids.  We had to compensate by having one large castle wall run down the middle of a 20 foot long table.  This way, the little kids could reach everything.  It actually worked out really well, since we were using Tactica Siege rules, and we just told everyone to take 3 to 4 rounds of back and forth bow fire, and then just send everyone in with the scaling ladders.
By keeping it simple, they picked up the basics right away and were playing multiple games and then switching sides so each kid could play both attacker and defender.  A few parents also played.  You can see the “high five” in the first photo.
Check out the dice in the box.  Four sixes out of 6 dice.  Joe Tomasulo would be proud (That’s a NYWA reference).
I had Dave Flynn with me this time.  Dave is a Stamford school history teacher who is thinking about adding miniature gaming to his curriculum.  Thanks to John Manning for also stopping by to help as well.
The library wants us back for their Fall program.  They have a couple ideas in mind that we can definitely help with.
We start our summer program at the Hackley School in Tarrytown, NY next week.  We will be running games every day from Monday to Friday, so Jim Stanton and I will be sending more daily updates.
