Hi all,
Here are a few photos from today’s game at the Rye Free Reading Room. It was the Battle of Watling Street with an uprising of Celtic Britons led by Boudica against the Romans. I have been steadily painting Romans as a side project over the years, so it was nice to see them in action.
It was another full house. This location is doing very well. We had 10 players for the full game, plus about 4-6 more friends just jumping in for a few turns while waiting for pickup.
Sarah, the teen librarian, was running another crafting event on the other side, so we lost the Swifties in the game this month. However, they all come over for the historical discussion, so that’s always fun. Boudica is basically “badass ancient Taylor Swift”.
As far as the game goes, it was your basic Roman bloodbath. Heavily outnumbered, the Romans are just a tough army to beat. This was no different. I’ll be running this game again tomorrow at the Connecticut Game Club. Enjoy the photos !
