Battle of Princeton at Darien

Hi all,
Here are a few photos from today’s Battle of Princeton game at the Darien library.

Thanks to John Manning for the houses and fences, and thanks to Nigel and Frank for the use of the AWI figures. Mine are almost ready but still need some bases (hint to Roland 😉)

Basically, this set up was a great piece of eye candy. The library director and most of the staff dropped in at some point and they want to set up the same program now for adults.

I had handouts describing the battle which were also well received.

We also had about a half dozen additional Darien high school kids give their contact info for future notifications.

One sad part is that one of our regulars, Teddy (in Christmas hat) is moving to Iowa, so this was his last game. At pickup, his mom said that he looked forward to each game and hoped there was something similar in Iowa. I took her contact info as well.

Anyway, I’ll be running the same game in New Canaan on Sunday. That one is sold out at 12, and has a waiting list.

Enjoy the photos.

By the way, the Americans BARELY won.
The Brits are just tough in this era.

Best regards to all,

John
